Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using this website or booking our services. Using this website or confirming a booking indicates that you accept these terms in full. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or book our services.
1. Definitions
- “Contract” means the legally binding agreement between you and us for the purchase and delivery of Services.
- “Services” means any professional property inspections, risk assessments, energy modeling, safety testing, or remedial installation works provided by our team.
- “Normal Working Hours” means 09:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday.
- “Working Day” means Monday to Saturday, excluding UK Bank and Public Holidays.
- “Fixed Fee” means a set, transparent price provided for a specific safety certificate or assessment.
2. Website Use and Intellectual Property
- Ownership: This website and all its original content (including text, graphics, design layouts, and technical guides) are owned exclusively by our company and are protected by UK copyright and intellectual property laws.
- Restrictions: You may only use our website for lawful, professional purposes. You are strictly prohibited from copying, duplicating, or scraping any part of our site design or content for commercial reuse without our express written permission.
- Third-Party Links: Any external links provided on this website are for informational or reference purposes only. We do not control and are not responsible for the content or performance of external websites.
3. Bookings and Orders
- Order Requests: Placing an order via our online form or over the phone represents an offer to purchase our services. A binding contract is only formed when we issue an official Order Confirmation via email with a secured booking slot.
- Accuracy of Information: You are responsible for ensuring that all property details, addresses, and access instructions provided during booking are complete, accurate, and true.
4. Prices, Fees, and Payments
- Transparent Pricing: Our quoted fixed fees include the full assessment service with zero hidden charges. Services are invoiced at the rates active at the time of your order booking.
- Surcharges: If a property sits inside a designated congestion zone, or if an engineer must use paid local parking to access the site, these exact expenses will be added transparently to your final invoice invoice.
- Payment Timeline: Payment must be cleared in full before or on the day of the inspection to confirm your booking. Unpaid bookings will be flagged as “provisional” and can be rescheduled or cancelled if a paying client requires the slot.
- Hourly Rates: If a job cannot be given a fixed-fee quote upfront, we charge a standard baseline rate of £81.99 per hour, excluding the cost of any required replacement parts or materials.
5. Call-Out Fees and Property Access
- Standard Call-Out Fees: If our Gas, EPC, or PAT engineers visit your property, the standard call-out fee is £35.00. For Electrical engineers, the standard call-out fee is £45.00. If separate specialists must visit the property on individual schedules, a call-out fee applies per engineer.
- Declined Work: If an engineer attends your property at your request but you choose not to proceed with the work or assessment on the day, the standard call-out fee still applies and must be settled immediately.
- Parking Permits: It is your absolute responsibility to provide valid residential parking permits or visitor vouchers if the target property sits inside a restricted or controlled parking zone.
6. Time Allocations and Missed Appointments
- Arrival Windows: We allocate comprehensive 5-hour arrival slots from Monday to Friday on a first-come, first-served basis. Your attending engineer can arrive at any point between the start and end of your confirmed time window.
- Cancellations: If you need to cancel or re-book a service visit, you must notify us at least 12 hours before your slot begins. Cancellations made under the 12-hour window will incur an automatic administrative charge of £35.00.
- Aborted Visits: A flat administrative charge of £35.00 per property, per engineer, will be issued if an inspection cannot take place due to client-side issues, including:
- The engineer cannot gain physical access to the property.
- The heating boiler is broken or non-operational during a safety check.
- An incorrect property address was provided at booking.
- An unsupervised minor (under the age of 16) is left alone in the property.
- The main gas or electricity supplies are completely turned off or empty.
- There is no clear physical access to the gas or electric meters.
- Third-Party Agents: These access terms apply equally to any third party you instruct to manage the property on your behalf, including tenants, letting agents, or site managers.
7. Quotations and Deposits
- Validity: All written quotations for remedial works or installations remain valid for exactly 28 days from the date of issue. Quotes are subject to amendment if the scope of work changes, but no changes will be made without explicit client consultation.
- Material Deposits: A upfront deposit is required before major projects begin to cover necessary material and equipment expenses. Paying a deposit signifies full, irrevocable acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
- Project Cancellation Charges: If a detailed quotation is accepted (either verbally or in writing), a deposit is paid, and the job is later cancelled by the client, a 35% cancellation charge and a 5% administrative fee will be applied. Remaining balances will be processed and refunded within 30 days.
8. Service Turnaround and Certificate Delivery
- Professional Standard: We execute all inspections and remedial works using certified, fully insured industry specialists to recognized UK compliance standards. We warrant our completed work against defects for a period of 30 days post-completion.
- Standard Certificate Delivery: Once site services are completed, official digital certificates are issued via email within 24 to 72 business hours, provided the balance has been paid in full.
- Late Payment Penalties: If payment is delayed past the date of the inspection service, the completion and delivery of your compliance certificates may take up to 30 working days from the date the payment finally clears.
9. Code of Conduct and Termination
- We reserve the absolute right to terminate a contract or withdraw our engineers from a site immediately if we encounter aggressive behavior, abusive language, racism, sexism, or any form of harassment directed toward our staff or contracted specialists.
10. Force Majeure
- We shall not be liable for any delayed performance or failure to fulfill our service obligations if the delay stems from causes entirely beyond our reasonable control. This includes acts of God, severe weather, flooding, structural accidents, government restrictions, regional fuel shortages, strikes, or widespread power grid failures.
11. Liability Disclaimers
- To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, our company and its representatives shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential financial losses, lost business profits, or property damage arising out of your use of this website or our service assessments.
- We accept no liability for mechanical systems, electrical systems, or equipment that are altered, repaired, or reconfigured by third-party contractors after our engineers have completed their certified inspections.
12. Governing Law
- These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any legal disputes arising directly from our services or website operations shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
